The finals of the Rutherford County Middle School Bowling program were held yesterday, and Rock Springs Middle successfully defended its title by winning a thrilling match over Siegel Middle by a score of 16-11. Game 1 saw Rock Springs take a 5-3 lead after they had three bowlers roll 190+ games, led by Chance Copeland with a 195. Game two had Siegel turn the tables, as Samantha Gomes bowled her first 200 game with a nice 212, and led her team to a 6-2 win. Now, Siegel led 9-7 after two games, but Rock Springs was leading the pin totals by 64 pins. And then Rock Springs busted out in game 3 with an awesome total of 1042, led by Nick Mason’s 224 (seven strikes in-a-row!), and Austin Steele’s 216 game. Thomas Lewter did have a nice 194 for Siegel in game 3. A very exciting end to another great Middle School Bowling season…congratulations to all of these super young bowlers!

I just want to mention that only about four months later, your *average* is within about 15 pins of that. 🙂 Awesome
