Vanderbilt bowlers pay tribute to Harry Stoddard, win title in Arkansas

Filed under: Uncategorized — Mark @ 9:27 pm

The Vanderbilt Lady Commodores Bowling Team has called Smyrna Bowling Center their home for the past several years.  Every practice day, the team would roll thru the office of GM Harry Stoddard and, of course, have fun with Harry.  Whether it was nit picking, trading barbs, giving hugs, or just saying “hello”, the ladies one and all would talk with Harry.  With his passing last week, Harry left a spot that no one can fill for the ladies.  In honor of him, they have sewn “Harry” on the sleeve of their shirts, to remain for the rest of the season.  Also, they are making “Harry” a part of their cheer each match.  And as fate sometimes works, good things have already come from the teams’ thoughtfulness – a first win of the season this past weekend in Arkansas!  Read about the match here: Coming out party! Bowlers win title

Harry lives on through HIS bowlers!  Go VU!!
