The 2010 Southern Gold Shootout will once again be held at Smyrna Bowling Center over Labor Day Weekend. The USBC Youth and Junior Gold event showcases some of the finest youth bowlers from across the nation. Bowlers from as far away as Arizona, New York, Nebraska and Florida have attended the annual event now in its 9th year. The bowlers are attracted by the tournament’s $2,000 guaranteed scholarships including $125 for the high qualifier in each of the 6 squads. However, the unique $3,000 for a single 300 game scholarship has significantly contributed to the tournament’s interest
in the bowling community. The early entry fee for the tournament is $40 with re-entries $35. For more information see the tournament section on this website or contact Kelly Marlin at 615-355-0501.
